One More With You
When I am 55, I’m gonna sit down in my Chesterfield sofa, sit and drink whisky with my girl in my arm.
Even though my face is old, get easily cold, not as bold,
I will still remember all the good times we’ve had.
When our children coming running, with their own children, I’m just gonna sit there, telling them my favorite story. About Kate and Leo, studying as hard as hell,
trying to get their examination going well.
When the day is new, I want it with you. When I’m blue,
I still want you.
When I’m dancing,
I’m dancing with you. When the day is through, I want one more with you.
But Kate was with a man, with his fake tan, his strict hand and his plan, of how to live and how to misgive.
It was Romeo and Juliet, the sunset colored our step,
on to the road less travelled by.
When the day is new, I want it with you. When I’m blue,
I still want you.
When I’m dancing, I’m dancing with you.
When the day is through, I want one more with you.
You know time run’s away, hard to keep track of the days
but I feel just the same.
I’ll be in my sleeping clothes, telling hoax and inappropriate jokes. But you will still know, what I want the most.
When the day is new, I want it with you. When I’m blue,
I still want you.
When I’m dancing,
I’m dancing with you. When the day is through, I want one more with you.
